Artist's Description

A Golden Eye duck cruising by the edge of a melting ice shelf on Lake Michigan last March.
We made several forays out onto the ice crawling around at the edge of the ice packs. This morning was warm and especially calm and was our last trip out since the ice fields were literally melting away before our eyes.
