Artist's Description

A Grey Crowned Crane in an aggressive stance... this colorful native of Africa and most cranes are quite "interactive" with the visitors. "Gray" refers to the body color of the crane not to the crown color. The golden crown is shared by both the Grey Crowned and the Black Crowned Cranes. Cranes are so fearless that in some parts of the world wild cranes are netted and trained to be the equivalent of "guard dogs".
